Chelsea have had difficult results in recent weeks as the Blues have only won one of their last five league games.
Chelsea have a couple of tough games ahead as Frank Lampard’s side go away to London rivals Tottenham this weekend.
Tottenham secured a last-gasp win at Wolves to reduce the gap with fourth placed Chelsea to just three points.
After the game against Wolves, Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho hailed his team for securing a late victory and warned that his mind is now focused on Chelsea.
Mourinho said: “I cannot ask for more, the only thing I can ask now is that next weekend [against Chelsea], we are there waiting for them.”
Meanwhile, Chelsea skipper Cesar Azpilicueta has urged his teammates to remain focused ahead of upcoming games.
He said: “We have to keep our heads up. The Christmas period is always a busy time and we have some important fixtures coming up, which we have to be ready for.”
