Jose Mourinho has kept good on his promise to Chelsea fans, 20-years ahead of time!
Now Mourinho has departed Manchester United, we can return to hailing him as the greatest manager in the illustrious history of this football club.
He’s had a tough ride in recent years, but his father’s long battle with illness and subsequent death clearly took a great toll on Mourinho. He needs to take time out of the game in order to refresh himself.
He is still ‘The Special One’, to us at least. He will forever have a place in the hearts of Chelsea fans, and we believe that love is reciprocated.
Mourinho will be providing punditry for beIN Sports later this month for their coverage of Arsenal against Chelsea at the Emirates.
You may recall Mourinho’s promise to us back in 2013, that as he grew old he would turn to defending the Blues as a rare Chelsea-loving pundit on TV.
“Carragher, Liverpool. Thompson, Liverpool. Redknapp, Liverpool. Neville, Manchester United. We don’t have one. When I retire, 75 years old, I go as a pundit to defend Chelsea on television.” – Daily Mail
Mourinho no longer as any association with our enemies. He is no longer pitted against the club who he has given everything to. His love for Chelsea football club can finally resurface without fear of a backlash.
We will support Mourinho in whatever step he chooses to take next in his career – and he will be doing the same for us on tele, just as he promised he would!
