Chelsea centre-back Antonio Rudiger was named in the BBC Premier League team of the week after his brace helped Chelsea secure a 2-2 draw against Leicester City on Saturday.
Rudiger gave Chelsea the lead early in the first half and then made it 2-2 after Leicester City took the lead.
Rudiger’s brace against Leicester means he becomes the first Chelsea centre-back to score twice in a Premier League match since John Terry against Fulham in April 2013.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard praised Rudiger and his centre-back partner Andreas Christensen after their performance against Leicester.
Lampard said: “I thought Andreas Christensen played well as well (as Antonio Rudiger). He was struggling with a fever at half time but played well. Tony as well with a great header for the second goal.”
