Just in: Lukaku & four other Chelsea players could miss Aston Villa clash
According to reports, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel could be without four key players for Saturday’s Premier League game against Aston Villa.
Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku revealed after Belgium’s World Cup qualifying win over the Czech Republic that he was going to have a scan on a thigh problem.
The severity of the injury isn’t yet clear but we expect Tuchel to give a fitness update on Lukaku on Friday.
Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante is also a doubt for the game against Aston Villa as he is still recovering from the ankle injury he suffered in the game against Liverpool.
Kai Havertz is also a doubt for the weekend’s fixture after missing Germany’s 6-0 victory over Armenia due to illness.
Tuchel would have to prepare the team for the game against Aston Villa without Reece James following his red card in the game against Liverpool.
