Frank Lampard has confirmed that Tiemoue Bakayoko and Kenedy can potentially leave Chelsea until the transfer deadline day on 2 September.
The two players have not featured in official games under the new boss, and the club are currently working on possible loan moves for the duo.
“It’s a possibility [that Bakayoko and Kenedy will leave],” Lampard told the press conference.
“We are getting to the point now where the window is closing soon and I’m pretty clear on where my squad is.
“We have to see how they both develop in terms of Bakayoko and Kenedy, for sure. We’ll see how it goes.”
Tiemoue Bakayoko is highly likely making his return to Ligue 1, with his former club Monaco remaining the most interested party. According to several sources, a loan deal with an option to buy has been almost arranged.
As for Kenedy, he may leave for Serie A, as Sassuolo have unexpectedly emerged as the suitors after their first-choice left-back, Rogerio, suffered an injury.
This should also be a loan move which must be completed before the transfer window closes on Monday.
