Aston Villa have contacted Chelsea regarding a potential loan move for Michy Batshuayi after record signing Wesley was ruled out for the rest of the season, according to Daily Mail.
The Belgian international has played second fiddle to first choice frontman Tammy Abraham this season but he is keen on staying at Chelsea and fighting for his place.
Michy has scored 5 goals this season, including this one in the Champions League
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is reportedly a fan of Batshuayi and is reluctant to allow Batshuayi leave the club on loan with Chelsea pushing for a top four place.
Batshuayi has struggled to nail down a regular place in the starting XI since joining the club from Marseille in July 2016.
Aston Villa still could land a Chelsea player in January. Danny Drinkwater is viewed as a possible short-term replacement for another injured Villain, John McGinn.
Villa reportedly want to sign him on loan after the 29-year-old returns from an unsuccessful spell at Burnley.
