It appears that Chelsea will soon be considering making a summer announcement about a new signing, this time for the starting squad.
The Blues seem to be making progress toward closing a single deal late on Thursday night, based on the most recent report from transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano.
The intention to buy a new goalkeeper has been the greatest transfer rumor to come out of Stamford Bridge this week, and one name in particular has kept cropping up: Filip Jorgensen of Villarreal.
The move has surprised many, but it looks like he is now a pending new Chelsea arrival, should the clubs get the fee agreed.
As you will see above, Romano says on his latest Playback video, Chelsea negotiations are advancing well for Filip Jörgensen, and they are working to close the deal! There is a small gap in valuation, with Villarreal wanting £21 million for the stopper.
