Romelu Lukaku’s time at Chelsea was not very productive. He played only 10 games, most of them as a substitute, and failed to score a single goal.
The Belgian went on to sign for Manchester United for £75m plus £15m in add-ons where he enjoyed farb better fortunes – 42 goals in 96 games.
The striker is an Inter Milan player now and he’s enjoyed absolutely sensational Series A debut, scoring one past Lecce keeper in 4-0 San Siro debacle.
He’s now scored on his debut for each and every of four clubs he played for.
Inter Milan manager, Antonio Conte who was sacked by Chelsea in summer 2018,
with a year left to his contract was obviously pleased with how Lukaku and his new team have fared on the opening night of new Serie A season:
“Romelu has entered the Inter world with great humility,” Conte said. “He is ready to work for the team.”
“There was a spark, but now we must become dynamite,” he added, making it clear he expects few more goals to come from the 26-year-old.
