According to the reports in the British media, Chelsea have changed their stance regarding the transfer of the midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko to AS Monaco.
As RMC Sport have previously claimed, the French side were ‘locked’ in the negotiations with the Blues as director Marina Granovskaya did not want to let the player go to the club of a lower status.
However, in the last 24 hours, Chelsea made a U-turn on the matter as they are prepared to let Bakayoko go on loan.
Frank Lampard has made it clear that he doesn’t count on the midfielder this season.
Bakayoko has spent the last season at AC Milan and failed to impress Frank Lampard upon his return to the Blues during the pre-season.
AS Monaco have until Monday to seal the deal for their former player.
Bakayoko played 63 Ligue 1 games for Monaco between 2014 and 2017.
