Alvaro Morata, 26, has made it clear he doesn’t fancy a Premier League comeback with Chelsea. After half a yeat at Wanda Metropolitano, the on loan striker feels so settled he’d love to sign forever for his current club.
He told Marca: ”I am very clear that I want to stay here. Leaving here has not crossed my mind. I want it to be resolved as soon as possible.”
Alvaro explained his motivation: ”As long as the people love me and are happy with my work, I want to be here. I have found happiness here, I’m where I want to be.
”If it was solely down to me, I would have signed my contract with Atletico. It’s what I want, but there are contract matters.
I did everything possible to come here and I will do my best to stay.”
The 26-year-old is on loan in Madrid until 2020. The Rojiblancos have n option to buy him out.
A Chelsea transfer ban could complicate matters for all the parties involved though.
