Chelsea fans were crossing their fingers hoping for an injury free fortnight during this international break, but their prayers have very much not been answered.
Probably the player we were most keen to keep fit, N’Golo Kante, pulled out of France’s game on Friday night after feeling an issue in the warmup, and instantly everyone suspected the worst.
It seemed like he was then in line to play tomorrow evening’s game against Turkey, but this update form Get French Football now has cast some doubt on it:
Still, if it was really serious he’d be back at Cobham, so hopefully he sits out tomorrow night and then returns ready to play against Newcastle the following week.
On the other hand, the worst possible outcome is that Didier Deschamps tries to play him again tomorrow, and sets our key man back once again.
Surely France have enough talent to leave out our man. Put Tiemoue Bakayoko in instead!
N’Golo Kanté training away from the main group this evening at the Stade de France – a doubt for tomorrow’s game vs Turkey.
