Chelsea have FINALLY announced that Frank Lampard has been appointed as our new manager.
The Blues have tortured fans for weeks, but finally the deal is done and announced, as you can see from this post on SSN Twitter.
It was assumed from the moment Maurizio Sarri was allowed to move to Juventus that Frank’s deal was all but done, but that’s turned out to be far from the truth.
In fact, even since Derby agreed to let our new manager speak to the club it’s been a long wait of almost two weeks.
This deal has come just in time, with preseason starting in two days and our first friendly in just a week. Luckily Petr Cech has been in place for longer, and Lampard will have been fairly sure of getting the job for some time now, allowing him to prepare fully.
We wish him the best of luck, obviously, and we have to admit… we’ve probably never been as excited for any manager ever.
