Former Chelsea coach Maurizio Sarri will not make his official debut in charge of Juventus for the next two games, the club have confirmed.
The 60-year-old has already missed the Bianconeri’s last pre-season friendly against Triestina last weekend due to what turned out to be pneumonia.
According to the club’s statement, Sarri’s condition is improving, but he will not be present for Juventus’s first two Serie A games of the season.
This Saturday, Juventus will face Parma and in a week, they will play host to another former club of Sarri, Napoli.
Chelsea who parted ways with their ex-coach on a cordial note have sent their best wishes to the Italian:
All of us at Chelsea send our best wishes to Maurizio Sarri, who is being treated for pneumonia. Get well soon, Maurizio…💙
