‘OK Given’, for Chelsea deal to happen after Blues agree ££50M fee for top midfielder

After an agreement was reached, Conor Gallagher is apparently moving to Atletico Madrid with Chelsea’s “go-ahead.”

Throughout his tenure at Stamford Bridge, Gallagher was one of the players that Mauricio Pochettino depended on the most; the midfielder hardly let the team down with his diligent efforts.

With Reece James out for much of the season, he has captained the team multiple times. However, there has been a lot of transfer rumors in the press suggesting that Chelsea is willing to let him go during this transfer window, with teams like Tottenham and West Ham supposedly interested in a deal.

But now it seems that he is heading to La Liga as Spanish outlet AS have stated Atletico will pay just over £33million for the English midfielder, whose contract was set to expire next summer

The Blues had originally been quoting £50m for England midfielder Gallagher, who is yet to discuss personal terms with the Spanish side.

Gallagher has been on Chelsea’s books since he was eight years old and after four loan spells away he broke into the first team two years ago.
