Paul Pogba believes N’Golo Kante is among the France players who deserves to win the Ballon d’Or more than himself.
Kante played alongside Pogba in central midfield at the World Cup and were a key part of France’s success at the tournament.
Both Pogba and Kante have made the 30-man shortlist to win the Ballon d’Or but the Manchester United midfielder believes several of his France teammates have a stronger case.
‘It’s all I hope for whatever happens, because there are a lot of them who deserve it,’ Pogba told AFP.
‘I’m not going to get into it, whether it’s [Antoine] Griezmann, Kylian [Mbappe] or Raphael [Varane] who deserve it much more than me.
‘I can’t pick one of them, but I sincerely hope it’ll be one of those three, or even four because there’s also NG ([N’Golo Kante].’
