Harry Maguire escaped a red card during United’s 2-0 victory over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Monday night despite kicking out at Michy Batshuayi.
However, Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has blamed Chelsea boss Frank Lampard and his coaching crew for allowing Maguire escape a red card.
According to Scholes, the Chelsea bench was too passive and he believes Maguire would have been sent off if it was Jose Mourinho on the bench.
Scholes said: “I think the reaction from the Chelsea bench could have been a bit more aggressive.
“I think if Mourinho is on the Chelsea bench he would be going ballistic and been holding his hand up [waving a card].”
