Pep Guardiola finally opens up on why he allowed Palmer join Chelsea
A recent report via the Daily Star has hinted at why Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola allowed Cole Palmer to join Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
According to the report, Guardiola may have found an even hotter prospect than Chelsea’s attacking midfielder at the Etihad.
It is believed that Guardiola and Man City felt that they could afford to let Palmer go because the club have Oscar Bobb, who is now set to sign a new long-term contract at the Premier League and European Champions.
Meanwhile, Palmer has been impressive for the Blues since joining Mauricio Pochettino’s side, scoring a goal and creating an assist in their 4-1 win against Burnley just before the international break.
It is unlike that Man City would be worried about losing Palmer to Chelsea as they have more than enough quality in their attack.
Also considering the Blues performance, the Citizens don’t consider them a threat, so there is no reason for regret.
