Perfect signing Frank? Sorry Man United as 23-goal hitman to solve some big issues at Chelsea

Chelsea should make a January move for Manchester United target Raul Jimenez.

The Red Devils suffered a setback in their pursuit of a top-four finish in the Premier League on Wednesday after they lost 2-0 at Arsenal, with the United side struggling to create chances and failed to move within two points of Chelsea.

And with the Red Devils also picking up a number of injuries to the clubs first team players, there is a need from United to spend some serious money in the January window to improve the squad in key areas of the pitch.

And that has led to shock speculation in the media suggesting that United are willing to make a move for Jimenez this transfer window, with the Wolves striker becoming one of the shock of the new Premier League season. And after becoming the club’s top scorer in Premier League history – netting his 23rd league goal to overtake Steven Fletcher’s 22, interest in a Premier League deal has taken another leap forward, but Chelsea should make a move.

Olivier Giroud is on his way out the club, Michy Batshuayi is BLAH, and Tammy Abraham still has a lot to learn in the game, so Frank Lampard needs to spend some serious money in order to complete a deal for Jimenez.

As we have said, he is now one of the most deadly players in the Premier League, so if he has the opportunity to play for one of the Leagues biggest clubs, he could be one of the best strikers in Europe. Relatively quick, a great finisher, strong in the air and the ability to hold the ball up and bring others into play, the man has all the class and quality to be a real star and if Chelsea are seeking to add another striker to the line-up, £40 million for this lad is a great bit of business.

They have been linked with so many strikers that will need time to adjust to the Premier League, why not spend that money on a player that is already proven in the Premier League? If Chelsea need to add another striker to the squad, then Lampard should look no further than a deal for Jimenez.
