Personal terms agreed over £250k-a-week contract, as player ready to join Chelsea
According to The Independent, Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku is ready to make his comeback with Chelsea, if they can negotiate the transfer fee with Inter Milan.
The Belgian was in stunning form last season, registering 30 goals and 10 assists from 44 games.
He played a key role in the Nerazzurri winning the Serie A title after a gap of 11 years.
Lukaku previously said that he is happy at the club, but he now appears open to rejoining the Blues.
The striker believes he has unfinished business at the west London giants.
The Blues have so far made a bid of around £100 million for their former marksman.
A fresh offer of around £130 million could convince Inter to sanction Lukaku’s sale.
Personal terms won’t be an issue. Lukaku has initial agreement on the contract.
If he returns to Stamford Bridge, he would become the club’s highest earner at £ 250k-a-week.
The Blues face Villarreal in the UEFA Super Cup before the season opener against Crystal Palace. They may ideally want Lukaku in the squad for the curtain-raiser in front of the home fans.
