Player ignores £31.5million offer from club just to play for Chelsea
According to Evening Standard, Chelsea have accepted an initial loan with obligation worth £31.5million from Burnley for defender Ian Maatsen.
However, the 21 year old defender is reluctant to leave Chelsea for Burnley having made three appearances under Mauricio Pochettino this season.
Maatsen was more open to a move to West Ham but they have cooled their approach, with Aaron Cresswell now expected to stay.
Maatsen spent last season on loan at Burnley but is now reluctant to return to Burnley this season.
Chelsea want Maatsen to sign a new deal if he chooses to stay in west London.
