Mendy: Although he made a decent number of saves tonight, it was still a poor performance as he almost cost his side with a fourth goal. 4/10
Reece James: Didn’t seem at his best today. His deliveries were poor and cost his side a needless penalty which started Chelsea’s problems. 3/10
Zouma: Didn’t look at his best tonight, but the team’s morale dropped after conceding from Arsenal’s first two shots on target. 4/10
Thiago Silva: Was a threat during Chelsea’s set-piece, but the team’s defending was shambolic at times. 5/10
Ben Chilwell: One of his worst Chelsea performances. He didn’t look ready after coming back from injury. His crosses were poor and defensively he was caught out of position at times. 4/10
Kante: Seemed to be overran in midfield as Arsenal’s midfield looked sharper than Chelsea’s. Some of his passes were sloppy today. 5/10
Mount: Tried his best but to no avail. Hit the outside of the post with a good free kick and kept trying all game long. 6/10
Kovacic: Subbed off for Jorginho at half-time. Didn’t seem to do badly but the midfield was disjointed. 5/10
Pulisic: Was one of the team’s liveliest player but the rest of the attack wasn’t at his wavelength. Not yet at his best. 6/10
Werner: Looks like he needs a rest. Taken off at halftime. 4/10
Abraham: Might have scored Chelsea’s only goal but he was largely ineffective all game. 5/10
Subs: Jorginho: Introduced for the second half but a tame penalty marred any hope of a comeback. 4/10
Hudson-Odoi: Was a spark after coming on after the restart. Looked very dangerous whenever he had the ball and assisted the goal for Tammy Abraham. Good game as he showed he deserves more playing time. 6/10
Kai Havertz: Came on for the final few minutes of the game but was anonymous.
