“Please just give me this one thing Chelsea fans” – Pochettino sends message to Chelsea fans
According to latest reports, Chelsea manager, Mauricio Pochettino has called for patience for his young team as he emphasises that they need time to live up to expectations.
However, new Chelsea owners have spent over £1billion to sign in young talents in order to help return the team to its previous glory, but the process seems to be taking a long time, despite the huge funds invested.
Mauricio Pochettino’s squad is the youngest in the Premier League, presently with an average age of 23. The hope is now on the boss to bring out the best in these youngsters.
Pochettino has asked Blues fans for one – patience.
In backing his young squad, Pochettino said: “They were once young also; John Terry was young, Frank Lampard was young, and Didier Drogba was young. You know better than me; that is a completely different pressure.
“This is a different Chelsea than what I saw when I was at Tottenham or Southampton. Worse or better? I’m not saying that.”
