Chelsea should just release this guy

And the news has gone down well with several Blues supporters on social media.
However, the latest report claims that Chelsea aren’t keen on parting ways with the England international, who is thought to be an ‘important part of their first-team plans’.
Barkley was out for 47 days through injury between October and December, with the 26-year-old only making just 11 appearances in all competitions under Lampard this season.
He’s scored two goals in 638 minutes of action, and to us, those stats don’t coincide with an ‘important’ first-team player. Barkley’s two goals have come against lower league opposition in the Carabao Cup and FA Cup, and in our view, the Blues should consider parting ways with the midfielder on a temporary basis.
It would allow the player to gain regular game time in an attempt to force his way into Gareth Southgate’s European Championship squad, which could then result in the player returning to Stamford Bridge in better shape ahead of the 2020/21 campaign. Whether or not the Blues will entertain West Ham’s interest over the coming weeks remains to be seen, but if they do, it doesn’t look like it would affect these Chelsea supporters.
