Pochettino now told he can have the new Victor Osimhen at Chelsea for just £3m – journalist

Mauricio Pochettino has now been told that he can have Adama Bojang at Chelsea for just €3m (£2.5m) as Steve Biko FC name their price.

That is according to Ed Aarons of the Guardian.

So, what is the latest on Adama Bojang and Chelsea? Let’s take a look…

What’s the story?

Well, it is said that Chelsea can sign the Gambian wonderkid for the bargain fee, although Pochettino faces competition from a number of sides across Europe which could ramp the price up.

Aarons believes Liverpool, Crystal Palace, Eintracht Frankfurt, Wolves and RB Leipzig are also monitoring Bojang after his impressive Under-20 World Cup campaign.

The 19-year-old scored two goals in four appearances at the Under-20 World Cup, including a strike after just 20 seconds against Honduras to send Gambia on their way to a 2-1 win.

It is the latest development in what is becoming a bit of a trend at Chelsea, as Todd Boehly aims to hoover up the planet’s best young talent.

The likes of Kendry Paez and Cesare Casadei were also on fire for Ecuador and Italy respectively at the Under-20 World Cup, both of whom have already joined Chelsea.

Chelsea could get Osimhen 2.0 in Bojang

While 90min believe Pochettino is hoping to sign the real Victor Osimhen after his 31-goal season for Napoli, the Argentine could get the Nigerian’s heir in Bojang as well.

It was the Daily Mail who compared the Gambian teenager to the Napoli No.9 back in April, even adding that the Italian champions are watching Bojang due to the similarities in playing style.

Even if Bojang becomes only 50% as good as Osimhen, it would be worth paying the £2.5m asking price – to be likened to one of Europe’s elite strikers at the age of just 19 takes some doing.

Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as Chelsea face plenty of competition for the Gambian wonderkid.
