The first half of the season is long gone, the hectic Christmas schedule is in the rear view mirror, and now even the new “winter break” is over.
That all adds up to mean a solid chunk of the season has passed, and we can start to look at the stats that the team are generating and give it some credibility.
Glancing down the list of Chelsea players with the most shots this season, one thing jumps out at you.
Of course we expect Tammy Abraham to be at the top of the list, and he is, with 3 shots per game and an impressive 13 Premier League goals to his name.
Also near the top are Mason Mount, who is known for his shooting from range and eye for goal; and Willian and Pedro the two wide players who need to score more, but aren’t afraid of shooting.
Notably however, it’s Christian Pulisic in second place. The American has been missing for over a month, and the team has looked really toothless without him.
One notices his dribbling more when he’s on the pitch, but these stats point out that his shooting is right up there, and if he can return to add to the 5 goals he’s chipped in with already, he can give the team a massive boost.
