Ready to rival Nicolas Jackson at Chelsea – 21-years-old striker reveals
For David Datro Fofana of Chelsea, this year hasn’t been easy.
David Fofana, who was first brought in as a young prospect from Molde, spent a terrible half-year on loan with Union Berlin of the German Bundesliga last summer.
Eventually, the 21-year-old moved on a short-term loan to Burnley in January.
Regarding his future ambitions, David Datro Fofana has stated that he is prepared to return to Chelsea for the preseason so that he can face Nicolas Jackson before choosing whether or not to go out on loan.
“I haven’t thought about it yet,” the Ivorian told Capital Football when asked about his plans at Chelsea.
“I think I’ll go back and why not do the pre-season with Chelsea? [In January], I wanted to stay but some things happened… but for sure I have nothing to envy Nicolas Jackson, who is [also] my friend.”
Fofana scored four goals in 15 appearances for Burnley, and even bagged a brace on his debut but it all went downhill from there.
The 21-year-old said when asked what went wrong: “It’s life, I had a bright start to my Burnley career but then the manager made his decisions. I don’t wanna go into details.”
