Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has dropped a massive hint that Gareth Bale could be sold this summer, alerting Chelsea to a possible transfer deal
There has been a lot of transfer speculation about whom Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri will try and sign during the summer transfer window to try and get the Blues back challenging for the Premier League and Champions League titles.
And one name that has been mentioned as a possible summer signing is that of Bale, who is seemingly on his way out the club after failing to impress the fans and management with his performances, especially as he was meant to fill the void that Cristiano Ronaldo left when he departed the club.
And according to recent reports on Spanish publication AS are reporting that Bale will become part of a mass summer overhaul at Real Madrid this summer, which will see £430m worth of star names leave.
Now Chelsea have been handed an even bigger boost after Zidane said the club could sell valuable players as part of a squad overhaul to generate funds, telling the Sky Sports website: “All my players are important and good, but we are going to make changes.
“Here there are many players that can bring in cash for the club.
“The changes will be made known at the end of the season. We will see what changes we make and which players we will change.”
If Chelsea are serious about winning the Premier League title once again, then landing a big game player like Bale could be just the solution they may need after Bale departs.
Sarri has a number of top-class players at the club that can help win games, but he is missing that one player that can win games in the blink of an eye, something Bale has proven very capable of since his days at Tottenham, and his superb display in the Champions league final last year.
He may have had a bad season at Madrid, but so have many of the players, but he will still end the season with 20-plus goals, and there are not too many Chelsea players who can say they will achieve that.
Bale is a superstar and Chelsea need a couple of them in the squad, or they will find it very difficult to challenge for the Premier League and Champions League titles.
