Chelsea manager Frank Lampard is looking for attacking reinforcements during the transfer window that has officially reopened today after Brighton draw.
One player who is continuing to be mentioned with a potential move to Chelsea is RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner.
There has been mixed reports on the subject with contrasting conclusions regarding his potential release clause.
But a report today via The Daily Star, who cite The Times as a source, suggests that it will take £51 million to release Werner from his current contract.
They claim that Lampard is considering making a move for the German international striker, but has concerns over the development of current number 9 Tammy Abraham, who is the clubs top goalscorer.
Personally feel that it should not really be a consideration due to the amount of games they play, the fact that all top clubs need at least two top strikers competing, and also Werner can play wide as well as centrally.
Frank Lampard really need to go out there and sign those strikers on-time.
