REPORT: Victor Osihmen sends fresh transfer message to Chelsea as Blues to make transfer decision

Chelsea receives massive boost in purchase of Victor Osimhen has he made another decision shock about his future, rejecting a fifth bid from Saudi Pro League giants Al-Hilal to remain on the continent. The talismanic forward reportedly rejected a three-year offer worth €120 million.

According to Nigerian correspondent Buchi Laba, Osimhen did not hesitate in turning down a transfer to the Middle East.

Chelsea remain very much in the running. The Premier League outfit have been following the Nigerian forward for more than a year now. With their frontline still lacking a proven goalscorer, the 26-year-old is still on the list of contenders. Talks between the two parties once collapsed over wage demands, but the Blues might revisit matters now that the forward has made his European ambition known.

The London giants have not been as busy in the transfer market this summer, bringing in Liam Delap for £30 million. However, the Blues continue to search for a headline striker. Osimhen, who scored 37 in 41 games on loan at Galatasaray, is the sort of player the Blues are desperate to recruit.

Such an acquisition for Stamford Bridge would not only strengthen their attack but also be part of their plan to acquire the most in-form world-class players. Napoli are willing to release Osimhen if their valuation of €75 million is met. Osimhen himself is calm, as Laba revealed that the striker is “going to take his time.”

Chelsea’s Other Summer Transfer Targets

There’s more to Chelsea’s summer transfer activity than Victor Osimhen. The Blues have made a £15m opening bid for AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan, who could be a future No. 1. In the immediate term, the club are still keen on Hugo Ekitike, but at €100m he might be too pricey.

Sporting striker Viktor Gyokeres is also on the list, along with Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Gittens. With Enzo Maresca planning to reconstruct the squad, Chelsea’s summer signing policy seems to be the signing of superstars alongside youngsters as they prepare for the challenging new season.
