REPORTS: Baba Rahman set for January recall after a loan spell

Baba Rahman is in the final year of his Chelsea contract and he still can’t quite make it even on loan.

After just 327 minutes for Schalke-04 this season he is set to be recalled, report Goal. The player is fully fit but cannot sustain the competition at the German club.

He was bought in the summer of 2015 for £21.7m from Augsburg but made just a bunch of appearances (23) for the Blues.

A grave injury at AFCON badly damaged his career ruling him out for almost two years.

The Blues will likely loan Baba out again with Spanish sides Villareal and Girona said to be interested in the left-back. Chelsea are unlikely to retain his services with Emerson Palmieri and Marcos Alonso playing in this position.

Two more Blues who could pack their bags soon are Michy Batshuyi and Matt Miazga.

The Belgian has only scored three goals for Valencia club across all competitions while the US international Miazga is no longer needed at Nantes after the club changed the head coach.
