Ruben Amorim sends strong Alejandro Garnacho’s transfer message to Chelsea
Ruben Amorim has refused to entertain speculation surrounding Alejandro Garnacho’s future, despite ongoing transfer links to Chelsea and Napoli.
The Manchester United winger has been the subject of intense interest, with United reportedly lowering their asking price to €65m (£54.8m) after initial negotiations stalled at £70m.
Chelsea’s interest in the 20-year-old was further heightened this week, with Garnacho’s representatives spotted at Stamford Bridge during the Blues’ 3-1 victory over Wolves. While the Argentine is reportedly eager to remain in the Premier League, United manager Ruben Amorim is keen to avoid distractions ahead of their Europa League clash against Rangers.
When asked about Garnacho’s potential move, Amorim made his stance clear: “As I understand the question, let’s focus on the game.” The Portuguese coach continued, “I don’t want to talk about that, especially before a game.”
Emphasising the importance of staying focused, Amorim added, “Our focus is that our players are here to play. We need to improve, we need to win games to have that feeling of winning. It’s really important for us, so let’s focus on that.”
While speculation surrounding Garnacho’s future persists, Amorim’s priority remains guiding Manchester United to success on the pitch, leaving Chelsea fans eagerly awaiting further developments in the transfer saga.
