“Shit happens” “But I blame those three guys” – Robert Sanchez blames Three Chelsea players for 2-1 defeat against Liverpool

Chelsea Goalkeeper Robert Sanchez has downplayed Chelsea’s performance against Liverpool, instead blaming the Chelsea attackers for failing to convert their chances.

Liverpool beat the Blues for only the second time this season at Anfield. The Reds won 2-1, while the Blues suffered their first road loss of the season.

Enzo Maresca’s side started better of the two, but went behind in the 29th minute when Mohamed Salah scored from the penalty spot after Levi Colwill fouled Curtis Jones.

Cody Gakpo then had a goal disallowed before Jones felt he had won his team another penalty, but goalkeeper Robert Sanchez was ruled to have got to the ball.

Three minutes into the second half, Nicolas Jackson broke the offside trap to level the score for Chelsea.

They were level for less than two minutes, though, when Jones flicked the ball past an unconvincing Sanchez following Salah’s brilliant cross.

As an increasingly tense game neared its finish, the visitors pushed for a goal, but Arne Slot’s side held on to remain top, while Chelsea fell to sixth.

Meanwhile, Robert Sanchez has criticized Chelsea forwards Sancho, Noni, Palmer, and etc. for failing to convert chances at Anfield.

“Football mistakes are common, but strikers should be held accountable for missed opportunities. Sanchez says, “We’re all in the team.”
