Shocking Chelsea news: Board open to getting deal done for £60M valued star
Chelsea are reportedly open to selling star player Reece James in the coming transfer windows.
James signed a bumper new six-year contract at CHELSEA last year (2022), which nets him a reported wage of £250,000-a-week, and made him one of the highest earners in the club.
However – there was alot of transfer speculation over the summer window that Madrid were very interested in trying to get a deal done for the Englishman, but were unable to convince Chelsea to let him leave Stamford Bridge.
But Spanish publication Nacional claims Perez is ‘convinced’ Real Madrid’s priority next summer ‘must be the incorporation of a right back’ with their ‘trust in Dani Carvajal limited’.
Despite Carvajal starting off the season well, Perez ‘doubts that he can maintain this level throughout the year’ and therefore ‘going to the market is an obligation’.
James doesn’t want to keep ‘collecting failures’ at Chelsea and he ‘could opt for a change of scenery’ if the Premier League club fail to qualify for the Champions League for the second year on the bounce.
Now – a headline from Express is suggesting that James was possibly for sale.
