“Small brain player” “Loan him, he needs to learn more” – Samuel Eto’o tells Enzo Maresca to sends struggling Chelsea man on loan
Former Chelsea and Cameroon winger Samuel Eto’o has offered career advice to Chelsea’s struggling player.
After playing under four different managers at Chelsea, it is evident that none have been able to bring out the best in Ukraine winger Mykhailo Mudryk, who joined from Shakhtar Donetsk for more than £89 million.
Chelsea manager Maresca has regularly shown irritation with the winger on the pitch, and his performances have yet to earn him a start in any major games.
Enzo Maresca does not believe Mykahilo Mudryk is lacking confidence and has challenged the Chelsea winger to perform better.
Furthermore, Samuel Eto’o believes it would be ideal if Mudryk was loaned out to adjust to life at the highest level.
He told Chelsea247: “I think he needs to go out on loan.” I don’t see a place for him right now. He’s now behind Sancho, Neto, and Noni Madueke.
“He’s a Small brain player, who needs to be loan and needs to learn more”
He is low down the pecking order for me. I don’t see a player in there, because you know you have football IQ.
However, Chelsea247 knows that Chelsea owners, particularly Behdad Eghbali, are keen for the Ukrainian winger to come good at Chelsea.
Mudryk is undeniably gifted. Mauricio Pochettino described him as ‘outstanding’ last season.
However, he is currently low down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge and is playing for his future every time he hits the field.
He does appear to have the support of those in the hierarchy. Behdad Eghbali is said to be yearning for Mudryk to finally come good.
