“So bad from him” “Time for change” – Enzo Maresca frustrated on Chelsea stars after Bournemouth draw

After a thrilling 2-2 stalemate with Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday evening, Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca voiced his irritation.

Thanks to a Reece James free-kick in stoppage time, the Blues managed to salvage a point. However, their overall performance left their manager dissatisfied.

Maresca, reflecting on the match, emphasized Chelsea’s dominant performance in the first half, which did not result in a comfortable lead.

“I think first half we completely deserved to win the game. We should have scored three goals,” he lamented.

“It was one of the best parts of the season in the first half. We were aggressive and the chances we created. We are a bit unlucky in scoring goals. We miss and then we concede.”

However, the game took a turn in the second half, particularly after Bournemouth were awarded a penalty. Maresca noted the psychological drop in his team’s performance: “The bad thing, as I said, is that after the penalty, we drop, and there is no reason we need to do that. The game was completely in our control, and it’s something we need to improve.”
