“Someone needs to take over him” “Top4 at risk because of him” – Fans hits at Chelsea star after shocking display in 1-0 win over Tottenham

Jadon Sancho’s performance in Chelsea’s match against Tottenham has left fans frustrated once again. Despite being in good positions to score, the winger refused to take shots, leading to growing concerns about his lack of confidence in front of goal.

During the international break, many Chelsea supporters debated whether the club should send Sancho back to Manchester United. One of the biggest criticisms of his game has been his reluctance to shoot. Back in December, Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca even advised him to take more shots, but it seems that message hasn’t sunk in.

Before the match, Maresca’s comments about Sancho’s need to shoot more were brought up again. However, when Chelsea found themselves in a dominant spell during the game, the former Manchester City academy star failed to take advantage of clear scoring opportunities. On two separate occasions, he had excellent chances to shoot but hesitated instead.

He did eventually take a shot in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to tip it over the bar. Considering Sancho averages just 0.8 shots per game, this was already more than usual. BBC journalist Nizaar Kinsella summed up the frustration, writing:

“Sancho twice not shooting while in good positions there. Chelsea need someone to take charge.”

Sancho is undoubtedly a talented player, but his strengths weren’t on display in this match. Many Chelsea supporters hoped Maresca would substitute him at halftime for Noni Madueke, who has recently returned to full fitness.

Fans took to social media to express their disappointment, with some making extreme statements about how much they would be willing to pay just to end Sancho’s loan early. The frustration has been building for months, especially with key attackers like Madueke and Nicolas Jackson missing games due to injuries.
