Chelsea player Armando Broja has confirmed he has signed his first professional contract with Chelsea via his own instagram.
We were fed a lot of transfer talk over the last few weeks as it seemed that Frank Lampard was going to do a whole load of business to improve the side and give the club more of a chance to get back inside the top four.
But despite all the speculation and rumours in the media, the boss failed to get any transfer business for first team players done, and instead we secured a number of deals for the academy players instead.
Two months after his 18th birthday Broja notched a hat-trick on his maiden FA Youth Cup bow in a 4-0 win over Huddersfield Town at Kingsmeadow – that was followed by the forward scoring during his first start for the development squad in a single goal victory over Tottenham.
Broja shared striker responsibilites with George Nunn throughout his maiden season as a scholar, making 23 appearances and scoring twice. He ended the campaign with a call-up to the Albania Under-21s and a brace on his debut.
And as a reward for his excellent start to the new season, we have decided to tie him down to his first professional contract in the game until 2022, something he could not wait to share on his Instagram account.
