“Stop lying Maresca” “I am going with” – Eden Hazard gives his shocking prediction for Tottenham vs Chelsea clash
Eden Hazard, a former Blue, has given his prediction for Sunday’s crucial London derby between Chelsea and Tottenham.
After defeating Southampton on Wednesday, the Blues are now in second place, seven points behind leaders Liverpool, despite having a good start to the season.
With 31 goals from 14 games, Enzo Maresca’s team leads the league in scoring and has already surpassed many people’s expectations.
Eden Hazard makes Tottenham vs Chelsea prediction
The only thing missing from Chelsea’s start to the season is a win against a traditional big six side having lost against Manchester City and Liverpool, whilst they drew against Manchester United and Arsenal.
A win against Tottenham would tick that box and the Blues do have a very good recent record against their rivals, and won the corresponding fixture 4-1 last season, with Nicolas Jackson scoring a hat-trick.
Chelsea will certainly fancy their chances given Tottenham’s start to the season, with Ange Postecoglou’s side currently tenth in the table, although they have beaten City, United and Aston Villa this season.
You never know what Tottenham you are going to get and they are capable of beating the Blues, but Sutton can’t see that happening.
“Usually I would expect a reaction from Spurs but they are so unpredictable that I don’t know what will happen,” Eden Hazard said.
“While I do wonder about their experience, I think Enzo Maresca’s side are title contenders even if he insists they aren’t.”
“Enzo Maresca always lied about not been title contenders and his Chelsea side are flogging almost every team, Am really going for Chelsea to beat Spurs as usual” He said
Chelsea had the luxury in midweek of resting several players ahead of Sunday’s game with Maresca making seven changes for the trip to Southampton.
Nicolas Jackson, Pedro Neto and Levi Colwill all had the night off and will be fresh and ready to go as Chelsea look to make it four Premier League wins a row and further consolidate their place in the top four.
