Todd Boehly vows to make these two Chelsea players contract decision immediately takeover is finalised
Todd Boehly, Chelsea's new owner, was present at Stamford Bridge to watch his team lose a 2-2 draw after leading 2-0.
On Saturday morning, Boehly and his partners agreed to buy the club from Roman Abramovich for £4.25 billion. All that remains is for the UK government and the Premier League to give its assent.
Boehly is eager to get started as soon as possible, as the Blues are likely to push for A-list acquisitions this summer to announce their arrival — a strategy he used when he and his partners purchased the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2012.
Chelsea, on the other hand, must complete some internal work before making fresh acquisitions.
