Chelsea are close to completing an incredible swap deal that will see Alvaro Morata join AC Milan and Gonzalo Higuain move to Stamford Bridge, according to reports from Caught Offside.
The Spaniard has failed to live up to expectations since his move to Chelsea and he has faced significant criticism from the Blues’ supporters.
According to reports, it’s claimed that talks have already begun between the two clubs and that negotiations over the swap deal are entering the final stages.
Should this deal goes through, Higuain would prove a major upgrade on Morata, though at present it is not clear if this would be a permanent exchange or just a loan move for between the two.
Higuain on the other hand, have shone brilliantly with Napoli having worked with Blues current coach Maurizio Sarri.
And he could prove to be the key striker that the Blues need this season.
Sarri’s side currently sit fourth in the Premier League, level with Arsenal but ahead only on goal difference and the star signing of Higuain would go a long way in helping Chelsea to ensure that they secure a top four position come the end of the season.
