‘This is promising’ ‘Please make this happen!!!’ Fans react to claims Chelsea have made first move to sign key Tuchel target
Chelsea have made contact with people close to West Ham midfielder Declan Rice, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Speaking on his ‘Here We Go’ podcast, the Italian journalist claimed that while talks are not advanced, there is a clear intention from the Blues to make a deal happen.
Supporters on Twitter are split on whether a deal for Rice is realistic or not, considering what we know about his sizeable price tag and West Ham’s reluctance to let him leave the London Stadium:
The resurrection of the club’s interest in Rice is surprising considering it was thought that the club’s pursuit of the England international had ended following the sacking of Frank Lampard,
However, it is believed that manager Thomas Tuchel is also a big fan of Rice, with reports earlier this week suggesting that the German had been discussing the midfielder with his coaching staff.
It appears a move for the 22-year-old could well be on the cards.
Below are fans reactions!
Is this the 1st time we have had talks? If so surely this is promising 😃🙏🏻

I think the issue will be WHUT willing to sell. Rice will definitely love to join Chelsea so they should focus their energy beating his price tag down.
