The Blues have also begun the season nicely. Former Newcastle striker Alan Shearer has praised Enzo Maresca’s performance at Chelsea, but believes it is too early to rank Chelsea among Manchester City, Arsenal, and Liverpool.
“I think Enzo Maresca is doing a good job, there’s no doubt Chelsea would have taken fourth after seven or eight games,” Shearer said on The Rest Is Football podcast.
“I don’t expect them to challenge for the title, they could finish anywhere between fourth and eighth.”
