Three potential signings who could follow Jules Kounde to Chelsea this summer finally revealed
Chelsea are expected to lose two first-team centre backs this summer, with a third possibility.
To make matters worse, one of the remaining candidates is 37 years old.
That means at least two players will be added, and while one of them will very certainly be Sevilla’s Jules Kounde, that can’t be the end of it.
According to Nizaar Kinsella’s article on Goal, the deal for Kounde will be completed as soon as the penalties are released, with both the Blues and Sevilla eager to complete the transaction.
But the piece also cites some of the front-runners to join him at the club, and Kinsella singles out three names we’ve heard discussed recently with considerable conviction:
Presnel Kimpembe, Josko Gvardiol of Leipzig, and Jose Gimenez of Atletico Madrid are all claimed to have been considered by the club, and all appear to be viable choices for this summer.
