Three Reece James replacement revealed As Blues agreed £105m fee with club for star player
According to latest reports via The Sun, Chelsea have reportedly agreed a £105million fee with Benfica for the transfer of Argentina World Cup star Enzo Fernandez.
However, Fernandez, 21, shone for Argentina in Qatar, winning Young Player of the Tournament as they defeated France in the final on penalties earlier this month.
Chelsea officials made the offer for Fernandez in a meeting with Benfica president Rui Costa and super-agent Jorge Mendes.
With the Blues reportedly reaching an agreement with Benfica for the transfer of Fernandez, all that is left for the Blues is reaching a personal agreement with Fernandez and his representatives.
Three Reece James replacement revealed
Chelsea have a very successful youth academy at Cobham, one that has produced stars such as Mason Mount and Reece James.
Before that there was John Terry. But really, since him, there wasn’t many success stories until the likes of Mount etc. And apparently, this is what the new Chelsea owners want to change and they are looking to bring through the next James or Mount, according to a report today from The Evening Standard.
Chelsea had a few Cobham gems on the bench this week when they faced Bournemouth, and there were some names there who Chelsea have in mind to emulate James and Mount.
The report claims that Chelsea are looking for the next Mason Mount or Reece James and have high hopes for Omari Hutchinson, Lewis Hall and Carney Chukwuemeka.
Three top class up and coming players, and any of them can become as big as the aforementioned senior players.
