Cole Palmer has been discussed by former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba following his performances in the Premier League and at Euro 2024.
Despite not starting a single game for England during the Euros, Cole Palmer was nevertheless able to influence events in Germany.
In their 2-1 loss to Spain in the championship game, the attacker for Chelsea scored the goal for the Three Lions.
Palmer was outstanding at the club level as well. He played 33 Premier League games with Chelsea, tallying 22 goals and dishing out 11 assists.
When questioned, the Ivorian Legend hasn’t hesitated to compliment Palmer, calling him Chelsea’s “outstanding player” of the previous campaign.
And the great Didier Drogba believes the Englishman simply exudes so much more confidence than others.
Drogba spoke on talkSPORT regarding Palmer, saying…
“Palmer stands out from most athletes I’ve watched because, in a positive way, he exudes genuine confidence. He is extremely confident in his abilities”.
He moved to Chelsea, and he finds it easy.
“He recently joined the team, made himself at home, started playing excellent football right away, and has emerged as Chelsea’s standout player of the year. He completed every task”.
