Todd Bohely angrily sack head coach as new coach set to be appointed soon
Prior to the 2024–2025 season, Patrick Vieira, the head coach of Strasbourg, a sister club of Chelsea, was fired.
Behdad Eghbali, Todd Boehly, and the other top executives at Clearlake Capital in the United States are putting up a multi-club model that includes Strasbourg in addition to Chelsea Women and Chelsea Football Club.
Strasbourg finished 13th last season, and Vieira’s team’s performance fell short of expectations.
“We would like to express our gratitude and thank Patrick for the work he has accomplished during this first phase of the project and we wish him every success in the future. He will always be welcome at the club,” Strasbourg President Marc Keller and the Board of Directors said in a statement.
Chelsea send out promising players on loan to Strasbourg, including Brazilian youngsters Angelo and Andrey Santos last season.
Some Chelsea youngsters are expected to go on loan to Strasbourg ahead of the new season.
