Top 5 Chelsea Players Leaving This Summer 2019/20
Chelsea players leaving the club 2019? Which Chelsea player will leave this summer 2019? Here is the list of Chelsea players that will leave Chelsea FC team Summer 2019:
5. Alvaro Morata
To be fair, Alvaro Morata left Chelsea in January 2019 but he is included in this list because his move was made permanent over the summer and also because of his impact.
Chelsea shelled out £57m to sign the striker from Real Madrid in 2017. He struggled to hit best form for the Blues, scoring only 16 league goals in 47 appearances. Now, the South Londoners were set on making him their starting number nine but that plan has been changed.
After 18 months at the Stamford Bridge, it looked almost impossible that Chelsea would ever be able to recuperate the funds they paid for him. Through some sheer bit of luck or excellent bargaining power, they did just that. Atletico Madrid paid £6.5m to get him on loan and then another £50m to get him out permanently.
It was astonishing to see Chelsea pull this off and the future might be better off. Frank Lampard has boosted the front line by giving Tammy Abraham the starting spot with experienced heads like Olivier Giroud and Michy Batshuayi as backup.
4. Ola Aina – Chelsea Players Leaving This Summer
Chelsea raised £10m from the sale of this youth product. Ola Aina had joined the Blues back when he was only 11 years old. He progressed through the club’s academy ranks as a defender and made several appearances for England at various youth levels.
He was a highly promising candidate who spent two seasons from the club on loan with Hull City and Torino. The right-back had a successful run in the Serie A, enough to provoke Torino into buying him out. Overall, a decent bit of profit in Chelsea’s books.
3. David Luiz

It was a shock to many when David Luiz secured an £8m switch to Arsenal on the transfer deadline day. No reports had previously indicated that the Gunners were even looking into the veteran defender up until the deal was agreed upon.
From the perspective of Arsenal fans, they might not be too impressed since they wanted an elite centre-half but this is certainly a blow for Chelsea. Luiz was arguably their best ball-playing centre-back, the type of player Frank Lampard heavily relies on to implement his high attacking system.
This could also prove damaging in the race for a top-four spot this season. In helping their direct rivals improve their defence line, Chelsea could end up paying the bigger price for this.
2. Ethan Ampadu – Top Chelsea Players Leaving This Summer
Chelsea fans are particularly excited to see how well this young lad progresses. Ethan Ampadu secured a loan move to RB Leipzig this summer for the entire 2019/20 season. He is a remarkable young player with all the traits to become successful in the top stage.
Ampadu is a Wales international and is still only 18 years old. He is versatile in defence and can play in a deep midfield role as well. He is very mature with his decision making and can create plays from the back as well.
A spell in the Bundesliga will be nothing but good for the teenager. If he can prove his worth this season, he can easily come back and contend for spot under Frank Lampard’s youth-centric system at Stamford Bridge.
1. Eden Hazard

Words might not be able to describe what Eden Hazard has meant to Chelsea over the past 7 years or to their fans. The Belgian was arguably their best player for the majority of his stay with the South Londoners.
He was the focal point in attack and finished his final season with 21 goals and 17 assists. He won the two Premier League titles, two Europa Leagues, an FA Cup and a League Cup for the Blues.
Hazard mesmerized fans in the Premier League with his skills on a weekly basis. Many argue that he is a generational talent and that might just be true. Even through some difficult periods at the Stamford Bridge, Hazard maintained his poise and remained a true professional to his final day.
