Cole Palmer will likely have to play in a front three or drop deeper into the midfield to play alongside Enzo Fernandes and Caicedo as a result of Chelsea adopting Enzo Maresca’s 4-3-3 conventional configuration, which will limit his freedom of movement.
Palmer has always performed best when given free reign, but it’s unclear how the new structure will fit him in and whether it will have an impact on his play.
The Blues are still looking for a replacement for Nicolas Jackson, who hasn’t performed well, but the manager in charge is still optimistic that he can get the Attacker up to speed on how to improve the team.
