Tuchel closes in on £78 million deal after latest decision, Player fears his Chelsea career is over, as Blues hailed as the best team in the world
Dortmund winger and Chelsea target Jadon Sancho has reportedly decided to return to England this summer
Regarded as one of the finest talents in world football, Sancho has developed into a class act over in the Bundesliga over the past few seasons and he is now a player that is tipped to become one of the best in world football.
Sancho has long been a top transfer priority for the club, but Dortmund have been equally stubborn in holding on to one of their top young stars. Yet there are reports in the media which have claimed that Dortmund would allow him to leave in the summer for £78 million
And Bild claim the winger is now intent on returning to England, with United and Chelsea the only realistic destinations.
Amid all the speculation that we will try and make a move for Sancho in the summer window, he has now come out and opened the door to a possible deal by admitting that he does not know where his future is.
“I don’t know about my future,” the 21-year-old told ESPN on Saturday after netting twice in his side’s 3-2 defeat of RB Leipzig.
“I am very happy here in Dortmund at the moment. I love the club, the fans and the team.
“They gave me my first professional start. The fans motivate and push me to the limit.”
Sancho is a player that we like very much and they will surely be a club that make an official move for the man should he come onto that transfer market in the summer. So with the season coming to a close, it will be interesting to see where Sancho goes.
Player fears Chelsea career is over
Marco van Ginkel fears his Chelsea career is over.
The 28 year old midfielder has made just four appearances for the Blues since joining from Vitesse Arnhem in an £8million deal eight years ago.
His Chelsea contract expires in June and he doubts whether they will hand him a new deal.
He said: “Chelsea have to let me know officially next week whether they will take up their option.
“I will calmly wait to find out, and then we will see what happens.
“The chances that I will go on to play for them are not great.
“But if I can play matches I have some value, and [with a new contract] they could still get a few millions for me.
“I don’t yet know what they plan. It could happen, or maybe they will let me go.”
Blues hailed as the best team in the world
Eni Aluko has hailed Chelsea FC Women as the best team in the world.
Chelsea FC Women were crowned champions of England after beating Reading 5-0 over the weekend.
Emma Hayes’ side also secured the Women’s League Cup earlier this season, and on Sunday they take on Barcelona in their first Women’s Champions League final.
“It’s definitely the best team in the world right now,” Aluko told Sky Sports News. “They’re going to have to prove that obviously on Sunday against Barcelona in the Champions League final.
“My heart is blue. I love that team, I love the journey that they’ve been on. They’re just relentless winners – Emma Hayes has driven that team.”
