Tuchel wants Chelsea to sign 30-goal striker after UCL final, as Blues table offer to sign £60m-rated La Liga star

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has urged the club’s hierarchy to land the signature of Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku.

The Blues have enjoyed an impressive second half to the season, but they have been average when it comes to scoring goals.

The club have created numerous chances, but their output has been poor with Timo Werner misfiring upfront for them.

Tuchel wants a new marksman this summer, and Sunday World claims that he is keen on landing the signature of Lukaku.

The German is reportedly a huge admirer of the Belgian, who was previously with Chelsea between 2011 and 2014.

Lukaku has developed into a world-class striker over the years, and he netted 30 goals for Inter Milan in the recent campaign.

His efforts helped the Nerazzurri win the Serie A title after 11 years, but he could reportedly leave the club this summer.

The Nerazzurri parted ways with manager Antonio Conte after a disagreement over the transfer strategy going forward.

Lukaku joined the club due to Conte’s presence. The Blues are aiming to re-sign him with a bid of around £60 million.

CHELSEA TABLE OFFER TO SIGN MIRALEM PJANIC

Chelsea have reportedly submitted a proposal to try and secure the signing of Barcelona midfielder Miralem Pjanic, who has struggled in his debut season in La Liga.

According to a report from Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo, Miralem Pjanic is unlikely to be a Barcelona player when the 2021/22 campaign rolls around, with the midfielder subject of an offer from Premier League bigwigs Chelsea as well as Paris Saint-Germain.

Pjanic has grown frustrated with his situation with the Blaugrana and could be on his way out of the club should Koeman remain in charge. The 31-year-old already being offered to Barcelona’s rivals and newly-crowned La Liga champions Atletico Madrid. The Bosnian international, though, has also emerged as a subject of strong transfer interest from Chelsea, who are now said to have tabled an offer for him.

Chelsea, as things stand, don’t really need to replenish their options in the middle of the park, considering that Thomas Tuchel has the likes of N’Golo Kante, Jorginho, Mateo Kovacic and Billy Gilmour at his disposal already while the likes of Tiemoue Bakayoko and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, among others, will soon be returning from their loan spells away.

Having said that, it is no guarantee that the loanees would be a part of the team under the German tactician while Kante himself has endured some injury issues in recent times. So, bringing in a new central midfielder could perhaps work in favour of Tuchel and Chelsea, to which end, they have been credited with an interest in Declan Rice, while Pjanic has also emerged as a potential transfer target.

Now, it is being claimed that Chelsea have already submitted a proposal to Pjanic over a summer move, although they are set to face competition from French giants PSG. In addition, the 31-year-old is also being courted by Bayern Munich as well. Chelsea, though, might have an advantage as Barcelona are reportedly considering a swap deal involving Jorginho.

It remains to be seen whether there is any truth to these reports of Chelsea making an offer for Pjanic. However, what seems certain is that the Bosnian is likely to be on his way out of Barcelona in the upcoming transfer window.
